A man was seriously injured in a boat crash Tuesday when his boat crashed into a stone pier located in a lake in the eastern Adirondacks, according to authorities.
Police believe that the 52-year-old driver of the boat was intoxicated at the time of the crash. According to Warrent County sheriff’s deputies, the 21-foot motor boat struck a pier late Tuesday night in the town of Hague, about 75 miles north of Albany.
The man sustainted critical head and neck injuries, and was taken to a medical care facility in Ticoderoga before being transferred to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont.
