Man Shot in Leg, Yonkers Violence Continues

A man from the bronx was shot Friday in the City of Yonkers.

According to officials with the New York City Police Department, a 23 year-old Bronx resident took a bullet to his right leg Friday afternoon. Police learned that two men had been involved in a dispute in the area of 131 Stanley Avenue shortly after 1:00 p.m., prior to the shooting.

No suspects were located but police recovered seven .40 caliber shell casings and two bullet fragments from the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
